If Men Could Breastfeed…

No more gloves for you! Gloves are a standard stocking stuffer in my family, but this year no one is getting Isotoners from me. 
The Ohio Supreme Court has ruled that Totes/Isotoner had the right to fire a breastfeeding mother for taking breaks to pump milk. Yeah, you read that right. Totes claims they terminated her for taking unauthorized breaks – not because of her sex. Ergo no gender discrimination and no illegal action.
I think the opinion from the only dissenting judge got it right. He argued that her unscheduled breaks should be treated no differently than unscheduled restroom breaks which the company allows. The only difference between going to the bathroom to pee and going to the bathroom to pump is … wait for it … gender. Breastfeeding discrimination is gender discrimination.
If men could breastfeed, I don’t think this would even be an issue.
